Meeting Minutes - Friday, January 6, 2012

Present: Lou Bullen, Pat McPheters and Karen Randall

The meeting was opened with devotion by Lou.

Pat presented the Library Expenses for 2011. Seven books were purchased leaving a balance of $4.74 from the $300.00 budget for the year.

The budget for 2012 is only $150.00. We will have to rely mostly on donations to even function. This will be mentioned in the Log article for February. The committee will meet only if needed.

It was decided to arrange the display for the 29th of January according to donations and purchased to show the difference. We will meet on the 27th at 9:30AM to put the display up and take it down the following week.

Karen will do the article for the February Log.

We now have a label for the Firefall International Newsletter box on the periodical shelf.

Two books by Jan Karon, The Trellis and The Seed and Bedside Companion will be checked out by Karen to see if we want to purchase them. We also will consider Max Lucado's new book: Great Day Every Day: Navigating Life's Challenges with Promise and Purpose.

Karen will make calls today regarding over-due books.

Our closing prayer was offered by Karen.

During the work session we changed the new books displayed on the bulletin board and the shelf and processed the following books:

***When you remove the book from the shelf please take out the card from the front of the book, write your name and date on it and place the card in the receptacle on top of the card catalog. When returning the book, simply place the book in the basket provided for returns. Please do not put the book back on the shelf.***

If you don't remember the process, you will find tent cards with the instructions for check-out and return posted in several places on the shelves.
