Woodlands Church is a place where friends gather to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known. We want you to share in this great purpose with a
great pleasure. Purpose and pleasure can blend nicely together. Please, keep reading!

Invite A Friend Sunday at Woodlands Church is EVERY SUNDAY. We cordially invite you to come to our Sunday Morning Worship Service. Worship begins at 9:30 AM. Everyone wears nametags each week to make the greeting of one another easier. You will not be asked to speak; simply come and experience the Christian worship, a biblical message and the warmth of Christian fellowship. The morning will be friendly and filled with enthusiasm. The Lord Jesus Christ and His message of love will be evident to all. Come!

Your presence in our Sunday Morning Worship may be exactly what the LORD our God has in mind for you and for us. Faithful friends abound at Woodlands Church. The Girl Scout motto holds true for us: Make new friends, keep the old; one is silver, the other gold. Silver is being cheerfully added to gold.

The Summer Season is a great time to deepen our spiritual roots together. Come often!

This 6th century icon of Jesus is a window through which Jesus has been seen more clearly and loved more dearly. This image is strikingly similar to face on the Shroud of Turin. It is of a real man with bruised and burned skin. His eyes depict compassion and judgment. One hand offers a blessing; the other holds a jewel-studded Bible close to His heart. The origin of this icon may have come from a 1st century statue made by the sick/healed woman. (Matthew 9:20-22.) The scene behind Jesus is of Jerusalem, where real trouble came to a real man, who is our Lord and Savior.

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT AND STRATEGIC PLAN

This brief purpose statement charts a unique and steady course for each member and for this Church.

In response to God's grace, the purpose of each member at Woodlands Presbyterian Church is to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to make Him known through Worship, Bible Study, Fellowship and Mission Outreach.

As individuals and as a Church, we want to increase in our knowledge and commitment to Jesus Christ. At the center of everything Jesus guides us to be involved in a balanced, strategic plan for growth.

This diagram pictures our personal commitments, even as it describes the pathway for Woodlands Church. While we may begin our spiritual journey—or enter the Church—at any of these four areas, we want Jesus Christ at the center of everything. Also, all four activities enhance our lives as individuals. Under—or over—emphasis in any area distorts the Gospel and skews our perspective, resulting in a lopsided life, individually and corporately. Balance is crucial!

This balanced approach channels us to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known. As individuals and as a Church, the Holy Spirit guides us to go and grow with this purpose and strategic plan. The LORD plans the work and asks us to work His plan!
